However, they do offer very good value, have won accolades for customer service and are very convenient since everything comes on one bill.
I have become a distributor for them so I am biased I suppose but at least I can give you all the ‘insider’ info you want!

Not sure if you mean you are useing a gas fireplace. If the central heating unit also runs on gas then yes use that it is designed to heat your house. A gas fireplace is designed for space heating.

If you have NOT applied for a position in CAPITAL OIL and GAS and if the Global Travel Agency will ask money from you so that they can process your work permit, then DOUBT the job offer – its most probably is a scam.

Is it better to rent an apartment with all utilities included or rent a cheaper apartment and pay your own?
If you are interested in a place, talk to a couple of the other renters and see if they will tell you what utilities average. You may find that the utilities will be much more than the couple hundred dollars difference between not included and included.
It is usually better to rent with utilities included, because the budgeting is much easier. Same amount every month with no fluctuation, but if the difference is more than a couple hundred dollars, I would definitely check into what utilities run at the pay your own. If there are no other tenants in the building, call the local utilities and they will tell you what bills ran last year.

Which is cheaper to have gas or electric hot water heater?
Just brought an older home with an outdated hot water heater in it-it along with my furnace are both gas. Got my first gas bill which was out of this world. Wanted to know if i should replace with a new gas or new electric heater?
Gas is nearly always cheaper, get one with a high energy efficiency rating. Tankless water heaters seem like a great idea, but the instantaneous loads on the electrical system are just crazy and will put most houses into a larger electrical service size $2300-3500 would not be uncommon for the electrical wiring costs alone, plus the cost of the unit, plus the cost of the plumbing. Making sure you have a 90% furnace and proper sealing and insulation would have a much quicker payoff.

question about sky and BT.and Utility Warehouse telephone lines?
I have a bt phone line but pay my line rental to Utility warehouse. I want to change to sky tv.broadband package but because i dont pay my line rental to BT they cant sign me up.I dont understand why I just cant keep paying line rental to UW and have my other services with SKY..any other UW members had this problem?

Are standing plug-in oil heaters cheaper than running gas heaters?
I’m considering buying a 1.5Kw standing oil heater from Argos, to save my gas bills. Are these a more effiencient form of heating? Will one of these heaters alone suffice in a medium/large bedroom?
One wall of my master bathroom is an outside wall and the room was a little cooler in the cold weather because of it. I installed an electric convection heater to counter the additional cold. I felt it was a better choice with a fan unit built in to actually blow the hot air over conventional radiant heaters. I dont know it you want to add something permanent into a wall in your room, but I do think that it is more effective ( and therefor less costly to use) than an oil filled unit. I hope you have found this useful.
