You need filters fitted on all phone connections, so that you can use the internet without interrupting phone calls.

What is cheaper?: heating a room with a space heater or heating the whole house with central gas?
I have a newborn, who doesn’t appreciate my energy misering habits! We need to either heat up our bedroom our the whole house. Our house is 1500 sq ft and it’s gas central heat.
The room is about 300 sq ft and we have a little eletric heater. I’ve heard horror stories about cermaic heaters causing eletric bills to sky rocket!
Any suggestions? Any body "been there, done that?"
I laughed when I read this. I’m cheap also but this is one area you have to bite the bullet. I had the same fight with my wife 12 years ago when we had our first. The best thing to do is close off the vents in the rooms you do not want to heat and open the vents in the rooms you do want to heat. Humidity is important also, if you have a whole house humidifier keep it at 50%. Air flow is very important in an infants room, studies have shown that rooms where the air flow is good has decreased the chances of SIDS,
Sudden infant death syndrome. I always had a cieling fan running on low and clockwise (air Going up) till 2 years old. Don’t want to freak you out but this worked well for us. We have 3 children now.
Are there companies that offer gas and electricty in UK for a fixed monthly price?
Basically i am looking for a company who offer gas and electricity in the UK for a fixed price. The benefit is that you can use as much energy as you like for that fixed fee.
Try uswitch.com

Connecting to Belkin Wireless Router HELP!!!!?
my dad has changed internet providers, we are now with ‘The Utility Warehouse’ but i cant connect my computer & iPod touch gen2 to the wireless Belkin ADSL modem, i can find it, it comes up but doesnt work & keeps asking for a password, we have tried every thing. when ever you go on it down here (main family computer) you have to add the connections again, at the mo im on ‘Connection 6′
any help/advice, thankyou so much xx
Main famly Pc is windows vista
&&
Mine is windows XP
We have had everything connected with the last provider, but it wont work now.
When you install the Belkin Wireless Router, you need to select your internet provider or put in the correct settings for them, which differ between different providers. It might have something set wrong, because you changed providers.
Usually if something is set wrong, it won’t work at all though, wireless or wired. But you can always see if you can find out the Install CD and reinstall it to check.
I’ve just had my Gas bill!! what a rip off. Who does the cheapest Gas at the mo??
What Lucie said: It does vary according to where you live and how much you use. Unfortunately, right now, I don’t think you’ll find any such thing as cheap gas.
Keep in mind that you’ll want to be sure of the service too. There are at least two companies I refuse to do business with now because of a severe lack thereof.
How much would it cost for a Corgi Registered engineer to come and connect my cooker gas supply please? UK?
I want my gas cooker connecting to the gas pipe which is already there.
I’m changing from electric to duel fuel.
How much roughly would this cost me please.
Thanks
my company charges 85 quid inc vat.. and that includes a new connection hose and stability bracket, any Corgi registered fitter SHOULD NOT install it if its 2nd hand or without a stability bracket and it should be Corgi notified .. www.corgi-notify.com
Where I can I buy cheaper mattresses?
I am just moving into my first apartment and need to buy a mattress, a box spring, and a bed frame. I was wondering where the best place to buy a mattress is as far as price goes? So far, the full size mattresses have been quoted as the equivolent of my rent and utilities combined!
btw i prefer NEW mattresses
You can buy them from http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&location=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2Fs%3Fie%3DUTF8%26rs%3D1063306%26ref%255F%3Dsr%255Fnr%255Fn%255F0%26keywords%3Dmattress%26bbn%3D1063306%26qid%3D1238638406%26rnid%3D1063306%26rh%3Dn%253A1055398%252Cn%253A%25211063498%252Ck%253Amattress%252Cn%253A1057794%252Cn%253A1063306%252Cn%253A1063308&tag=189-20&linkCode=ur2&camp=1789&creative=390957
Who is the best ISP for high internet usage/gaming?
I have been using an ISP called Utility Warehouse which provides internet for about £15 pm. Recently, I have been having times where the internet disconnects from around 10-11pm, and only reconnects in the morning (this has nothing to do with my router). It is meant to give us up to 24 MB but maybe I am on a different plan, as I only get 8 MB. By the way, I am about 5 minutes away from the exchange. I wanted to know what is the best ISP for gaming and heavy internet usage, including video streaming and p2p downloading. It has to be quite cheap, and I don’t mind if it is a small company, as long as I get good internet. I also saw that BT is giving a free HomeHub thing, with unlimited internet and high speed internet for £24.46.
Thanks
Lyall
You may have guessed this, but I need to have a really low ping for my gaming, or I start losing due to jittery internet, and the other person sees me first.
Unfortunately, Haverhill, where I live, does not have cable, so that is not an option. Our Exchange is somewhere in town about 5 minutes away, but they have limited internet options. I can give details on the services that it supplies if needed
These are my ISP’s details:

There’s nowt much wrong with the speeds your getting but the loss of connection is weak. That shouldnt happen.
If you live in an area that has access to cable, go for that option. Virgin is starting to roll out a quite rapid fibre optic network…
where do i find cheaper gas and electric? I can’t afford my current bill and feel as an existing customer I am
not getting the great prices and benefits that are available to new customers. I am with Powergen and wish to change but am not sure how to. Does anyone know the best place to purchase power at the moment? Will powergen offer me better benefits if I threaten to leave? Thanks
