can someone help me find a cheap really cheap apt in aurora colorado possibly with utilities?
Is this a smart move, or should I look elsewhere for cheaper rent?
I have to move out of my current living situation by September, and if I don’t find a decent place to live, I am going to have to move back home to live with my Mother. I’ve found someone who is offering a bedroom in a fully furnished townhouse for $550 a month, which includes all necessary utilities. If you subtract utilities, the rent is basically $400. I’m used to paying $325 plus utilities. It’s in downtown Charlotte, NC in a good location. It sounds great, I am just worried about whether I should make the move financially or not.
I make $350 a week, roughly $1,400 a month, and I’ve heard that you should be making your rent within a single paycheck. My monthly expenses outside of rent/utilities/food/gas averages $500 (which includes student loans, health/car insurance, and credit card debt). So, adding that & rent would be about $1,050, leaving me $350 a month for gas, food, and entertainment. I could pick up a part-time job to give me some extra money. Does this sound stupid?
Yes, I’d be moving in with a roommate. I talk to him on Saturday to see if we are compatible. My Mom doesn’t live in Charlotte, she lives in SC about an hour away, so I’d have to commute each day to work. The paycheck I listed is the net amount, and I just realized that I actually make a bit more $370 a week. I am about to receive another small raise, so every bit helps. I think I can swing this, I just needed some reassurance because I am a bit nervous.
In a perfect scenario you should spend about 30% of your pay on housing. Don’t kill yourself on housing. NEVER LIVE PAYCHECK TO PAYCHECK!
Is this $350 gross or net? I’m guessing net.
Do you work in Charlotte? Does your mother live in Charlotte?
You did not give enough info to fully answer this but I think a second job would be a good idea. Try to find it in a field you might be interested in. Even better would be figuring out a cheap way to start you own business.
Is this a bedroom in a roommate situation? If so would rather have your mom as a roommate or this new person?
Please update this with more info.
The best system utilities for Windows XP?
I am trying to find better utilities than the ones that come with Windows XP. the main ones I am looking to have alternates for are Disk Defrag, Disk Cleaner, Task Manager, and MSConfig. The cheaper the better. Thanks.
www.sysinternals.com
These guys make the best windows utils in my oppinion. So good that microsoft bought them. Fortunently the quality of their products has not been sacrified. They’re also completely free! Their "Prcoess Explorer" App is pretty much task manager on steroids, and then some. I highly recommend they’re stuff.
FYI, one of the guys who writes this stuff is also the one who discovered the infamous Sony rootkit.
What are the cheapest utility companies for water, gas, and electricity in Dallas?
water and gas ,there is only one choice as for electricity you have a choice but I have always used the company that repairs the lines therefore prompt service in case of a problem is guaranteed
Is it all and all cheaper to live in a nice motel rather than an apt?
Considering bills/utilities are included in the rent at a motel?
In general, no, it is not cheaper to live in a motel.
One of the key reasons is your ability to store and appropriately cook foods. With only a small refrigerator, you wouldn’t have the ability to buy your items in large quantities, which is often a cost savings for those of us with decent size freezers. On top of that, if your only cooking device is a single-burner hot plate, it’s hard to cook more than one thing at a time…Not to mention that washing any dishes you use can be tricky if the bathtub is the only thing big enough for your pan to fit in. These inconveniences often encourage people to eat out more often than the otherwise would, adding to the overall cost of feeding yourself.
On top of that, you’ll still have the cost of doing your laundry offsite, which you might not be burdened with in an apartment. Additionally, most (obviously not all) motels that offer long term rates are in neighborhoods that put your personal body as well as your car at risk for theft or damage.
How much does it cost to update the furnace in your home?
How easy is it to do? Would it be cheaper on utilities to go with an electric furnace rather than gas?
Ok I didnt know location made a difference, so I live in Nebraska and right now its 30 degrees outside brrr damnit!
There are lots of factors that go into answering this question. How many square feet are you heating, how well is the house insulated, how long are you planning on living there, how old is your current furance etc. In general gas is cheaper. Sorry I could not be more help.
How much would it cost for three adults to live in an apartment paying all utilities?
My rent would be $600 monthly
How much would
CABLE
PHONE
INTERNET
WATER
ELECTRICITY
FOOD
Etc.
All cost including the $600 a month ?
Cheapest and most expencive
Your share of cable, etc should be about $100 and your share of food depends how well you want to eat I would guess $200 each would be eating pretty good and you could do it for 100 each if you live on pasta and don’t buy cleaning supplies or paper products.
So with rent, utilities, food, and supplies about 900-1000 per month each.
Don’t forget you will need furniture, renters insurance, bedding and linens.
If the earth were God’s computer, what utilities would He run to maintain optimum performance?
For example, would God buy a reputable program like Raxco PerfectDisk to keep the earth’s hard drive defragmented? Or, would He instead go on the cheap with some Chinese knock-off like "Hard Diskette Defragmenterer" with a sales line that reads, "Make hard drive faster go!"
Could the latter explain the issues suffered by earth here and now? Are humans the dust clogging the air intake vents in God’s master computer?
He apparently used windows…
Which explains a lot, actually.
He’s getting a new laptop this Christmas.

Who is the cheapest utility provider?
What companies have the cheapest rate? We are moving into an apartment and looking for local water and energy rates. Who is the cheapest.
Houston, Tx
Where? How can we tell you if we don’t know where you live?
In South Texas, Reliant energy is cheapest. I do not know where you are so I can’t really say who you should use.
