Since I’m living on my own next year I’d like a top floor because it’s safer, but the only one they have available has high-vaulted ceilings so it’s 20 dollars more a month and who knows what that would do to the gas bill. There’s only two stories so I don’t even know how much safer the ground level would be. Any input appreciated!
good points– have you ever lived on the ground floor? I was wondering if it was noisy for you.
ground floor, groceries don’t have to go up stairs and quicker out in a fire.
Apartment poll- cheaper price, bottom floor or a little more expensive, top floor?

ground floor.
Pros: easier to move in the furniture or move it out when you leave, groceries are brought in easier
Cons: noise from neighbors above, windows could be an entry point for home invaders, if the area is prone to flooding this could cause really bad problems.
Upper floor
Pros: no noise from neighbors above, wont flood, unlikely anyone would try to come in through the window, and even the door since they would have to lug things downstairs and it would make for a more difficult escape
Cons: if you’re noisy and you have a-hole neighbors that could be a problem. getting things up to your apartment via stairs will suck.
I say if its only 20 extra bucks for vaulted ceilings do it. thats not much and i doubt it would make the gas bill be unreasonably more expensive.
