If you have a diesel, you can filter any fast food restaurant’s used fry oil with coffee filters and pour it startight into your tank. Otherwise, I’ve been driving almost 0 on the weekends(i ride with a group), I keep my vehicle maintained, especially the transmission(people don’t realize how much strain a transmission puts on your fuel system), I try to spend the night closer to work anytime I can, I NEVER drive fast(55 is the perfect speed for fuel economy), I stay far back in stop-and-go traffic so as to prevent the stopping and going part. The number 1 killer in fuel economy is spark plugs and spark plug wires. You don’t realize it, but when the wires go bad, the rubber actually becomes conductive and shorts to the nearest ground. Also, let your vehicle warm up before you leave. A cold vehicle burns twice as much gas as a warm one.

keeping your car tuned, proper tire pressure and not driving like a maniac will all keep your MPG close to ideal for your car. Cold-air intake would help too.

you can try installing your car with LPG conversion kit….here in the Philippines cost is around $300-500.00 (kit). Cost of LPG per liter is around $0.44 as compared to gas $0.84/ liter.

keep your engine tuned up, keep air in the tire at proper levels, keep your tank over 1/2 full at all times ( don’t know why this helps but it does!) don’t use the sir conditioning, new spark plugs and wires, and filters changed!
