Natural gas households in UK?

In the UK what is the percentage of households that have natural gas appliances? Gas Stove, oven, space heater, clothes dryer, water heater, etc.

Is it mostly all electrics in the UK? Every time I see photos or videos of modern UK, the homes always have an electric cook top. Why does the UK prefer electric appliances over gas appliances? Isn’t natural gas cheaper in the UK than using electricity to cook and heat with?

Natural gas is used in most households. There are some areas where gas is not available ,but all houses have electricity.Hoseholds vary as to whether they use gas or electric for their cooking appliances. Some use both. Most central heating and hot water systems operate on gas.At the moment gas is more expensive than electricity.

apparently the most efficient way to have you oven energy wise is an electric oven and a gas hob. however not everyone can have gas and its really expensive to have it connected if your house isn’t already
